Official public launch of Canberra's first Healing Rooms
The ACT's first Healing Rooms will be officially launched at 10:30am on Saturday 19 June 2004 by Pastor Barry Denton of well-renowned Hillsong Church.
"The launch of Capital Healing Rooms is a milestone for prayer and healing in the Canberra region. We are very pleased to have Pastor Barry with us to offically open the facility, as he has been highly involved in similar ministries elsewhere in Australia" says Martyn Ritchard, Director of Capital Healing Rooms.
Capital Healings Rooms in Newcastle Street, Fyshwick, is unlike any other organisation in the region. It is a registered charity and operates with teams of volunteers from several churches across the city.
"We provide confidential, compassionate prayer to the physically needy people in Canberra and the surrounding region as well as food parcels and other assistance for those in need" says Martyn. "Together with Lifestream Christian Fellowship in Wanniassa, we also offer a free meal on Wednesday evenings as part of our ministry."
Capital Healing Rooms is founded on the belief that it is God's will to heal the sick. The organisation is open to all members of the public who desire healing prayer.
"The role of Capital Healing Rooms is to offer people a safe environment where they can receive prayer and continue the healing process and reach out to those in need in the community," concludes Martyn.
