FRUSTRATION | 23 Jun 2015
I am on the Healing Rooms team. On a recent Monday I was extremely frustrated. All the plans set out for the day had been thwarted. Aggravation had set in and I could not shift the tension generated by the various perceived failures of the day. I was worried about coming to the Healing Rooms that night in the frame of mind I was in as I was rostered on to do Reception.
Shortly after I entered the Healing Rooms I became aware of a tremendous peace and joy and that everything that had been annoying me all day had shifted and I felt gloriously happy. Such is the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit in these rooms. We are truly blessed.

THYROID | 27 Feb 2015
I was at Capital Healing Rooms about 10 days ago and I was so worried about my thyroid cancer recurring. The ladies prayed with me and I felt so much better and uplifted. I am happy to tell you that the recent scan showed no recurrence of the thyroid cancer! Praise God for His faithfulness and mercy! Thank you and the prayer team for the prayers on my behalf. I am so very grateful. I see my GP today to determine the treatment for the infection or inflammation that seems to be the cause of my unwellness. Thanks again and God’s blessings on you and your ministry.

KNEE | 19 Dec 2014
I came in with a really bad knee due to pins and plates. I walked in with a walking stick and I walked out by myself!!!
Thank you Lord for healing me! Now I can go dancing which I thought I would be cancelling.
ALLERGIES | 10 Nov 2014
I had an allergy to cats all my life. I received prayer from the team in July 2012 and I visited a girl (I would eventually marry) who has 2 cats. I had NO allergic reaction and never have since!! We have been married for 6 months. Thank you Jesus for touching my life!

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE | 9 Aug 2014
About 1 month or so ago I came to the Healing Rooms for prayer and something happened!
When I came in my BP was 165/97 and had been at that for a while (several weeks). During the prayer time – something lifted off me – I could physically feel that, so on the way home I went to my local pharmacy and had my BP taken – 136/86!!!!!!! A week later I went again and it was still 136/86. Thank you God!

KIDNEY PAIN | 8 Aug 2014
On Friday 8th August I came to the Healing Rooms for prayer. I was on a walking stick and had severe kidney pain – I was in agony and found walking difficult. At the very end of the prayer session all the pain lifted off me. I walked out with my walking stick under my arm! Praise the Lord!

HEART HEALED | 20 Jun 2014
My brother is a tour bus driver near retirement age and living alone in Melbourne. After a particular tour taking some unwell overseas visitors to the Great Ocean Road, he became infected by a nasty virus which attacked his heart so that his pulse was racing up to 180 beats per minute. He was sweating profusely and had a terrible cough. He phoned my sister, a nurse, who came over and took him straight to hospital. There he was taken to ICU and was treated by the top cardiologists who gave him intravenous antibiotics which helped. However the pulse rate was still higher than normal. They thought they may have to intervene and shock the heart with medical procedures.
After I heard this I rang the Healing Rooms and was assured that the team would pray immediately! Obviously the prayers of righteous men and women were heard and the requests were met. Within 3 days my brother was able to go home from hospital with a slower heart rate! I thank God for the answer my brother received and he said himself that the prayers must have helped! Thank you Heavenly Father. Praise You Lord Jesus!
He needed 2 more weeks of rest and recovery before returning to work but what was also amazing was that his relationship, with me even though we live in different States, was also healed. This was a time for him to know that I cared about him and he saw me differently. He valued the prayer support. He began to speak to me in a new way, and I feel that I have regained a brother who was “lost” to me. I am a thankful receiver of God’s amazing grace and I thank you all for your devotion and love.

PRAYER CLOTH | 30 May 2014
I asked the Healing Rooms team to pray for my husband. They anointed a prayer cloth with oil and I brought it home and he put it in his bed. After many many nights unable to sleep because of severe pain in his back, legs, shoulders and body, generally he slept all night without getting up at all and with NO pain killers!! This morning he has only much reduced pain and we look forward to complete healing. Praise the Lord!!

I came in for prayer for healing of my right side of body especially my right foot. My right leg was shorter than left leg and after receiving prayer both legs were equal in length and all pain went. I am now able to move much more freely than I have before!

HEART PAIN | 8 Apr 2014
I suffered excruciating pain all night in upper abdomen and mid-abdomen in contractions. Finally at 5.30am my wife took me to Braidwood Hospital. The doctors examined me and thought I had an aortic aneurism or strangulated hernia and sent me to Canberra hospital very quickly with “sirens and lights blazing” for my life was in danger.
My wife prayed and rang the Healing Rooms for prayer support. The pain stopped! I spent ½ day at Canberra Hospital undergoing every test. Nothing was wrong and I went home around 2pm. The pain has NOT returned (3 weeks later). Praise the Lord!!

I came to the Healing Rooms after increasing breathlessness which was eventually diagnosed as pulmonary emboli and thrombosis in my heart which would eventually be fatal. It had started from a deep vein thrombosis in my right leg and clots travelled to my heart and lungs.
Thanks to prayer, my respiratory specialist referred me to a wonderful specialist at St. Vincents who said I’d be a good candidate for a pulmonary endartectomy. A day before my op it was discovered I needed a double by pass as well. I had the op in February 2012 and now I am almost back to normal. I was told if I didn’t have the bypass I would only have had a maximum of 3 years to live. God is good!!

KIDNEY DISEASE | 3 Mar 2014
How good is our God – the Great physician – who heals our wounds and restores our health! A few months ago an ultra sound suggested a disease of the kidney; and I was required by my medical practitioner to attend the Renal Clinic at the Canberra Hospital. But please note immediately my doctor spoke I told him, “No, Jesus has taken away all my diseases, and by His stripes I am healed.” A waiting time elapsed for a scheduled booking, and during this time in Jesus name I forbid any malfunction in my kidney (only believing God’s Word), and spoke that my kidney was performing a perfect work in my body. And the team at the Capital Healing Rooms prayed, believed and agreed with me the truth of God’s Word. Alleluia! Today, after a further examination the specialist declared; “All good news; there is nothing wrong with your kidneys.” Praise the Lord – believe only.

MAGNESIUM DEFICIENCY | 28 Feb 2014
I came to the Healing Rooms a couple of months ago for unexplained pain in my body. The team prayed for me and the Holy Spirit revealed that I was magnesium deficient. I can say that God is faithful and healed me and I have been pain free ever since.
I would recommend the Healing Rooms to anyone as God works mightily through all the people who give their time to pray for others.
Glory to Jesus! Amen.
BLOOD PRESSURE | 25 Feb 2014
I’ve had a history of heart “problems”. The folk at Healing Rooms prayed for me and the follow-up treatment, given me by the Lord, was to speak out the Declaration on the card given to me, regularly a few times per day.
At the following check-up with my GP at Kaleen the results of a raft of blood tests showed normal and my blood pressure was very settled at 120 over 61. Thank you Lord!!

EATING DISORDERS | 14 Feb 2014
I have come 4 times for prayer. Initially I came seeking healing from eating disorder behaviours and attitudes and relationship with my 2 young children. My period had ceased due to eating disorder (9 months) when only 37 years old.
God has released me from obsessive behaviours which maintained the eating disorder and my period has returned (3 months later).
God is continuing His healing. My relationship with my children is transformed and in addition their relationship and ability to hear from God and to love Him has grown significantly. God is also restoring the ability for my husband and I to share our faith.

CATARACTS | 5 Feb 2014
Prior to my 2 cataract surgeries on 4/4/13 and 23/5/13 I asked for prayer at CHR. The Lord answered “abundantly more than I could ask or think” Ephesians 3:20.
At the appointment one month after the cataract was removed from the left eye the Dr. said “you can go straight to ACT Govt Shopfront and have your driver’s licence changed to “without glasses” then go to the optometrist and get your prescription sunglasses changed to plain lens.”
One month after the 2nd cataract was removed the ophthalmologist tested my eyes and found I had 20/20 vision and would no longer need to wear glasses. Only magnified reading glasses were needed, obtainable at the newsagent for $19.95.
Having worn bifocals and then multi-focals for many years the change was revolutionary. I marvelled at the colours on the TV and the captions I could read clearly. Prior to surgery these were just a blur if viewed without my glasses.
On 3/2/14 I had my annual check with the optometrist for glaucoma and macular degeneration as well as normal vision and on all counts he pronounced my vision was near perfect for someone of my age. A MIRACLE!! God’s Word rang true…..”abundantly more than I could ask or think!!”

BREAST CANCER | 4 Feb 2014
An operation in March 2011 for breast cancer was followed by a referral to a medical oncologist for further treatment. Arimidex an Aromatose inhibitor drug was prescribed which affects bone density so Dr. applied for Alendrobell to increase bone density. However, on Easter Sunday 2012 I developed an itchy rash which was an allergic reaction to Alendrobell.
The Oncologist ordered a once a year infusion but on research I found I could have the same allergic reaction.
I had prayer at the Healing Rooms and was given several scriptures, one was particularly meaningful Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and He will direct your paths”. After further prayer, I had peace about discontinuing both tables on 4/5/12 and completely trusting the Lord. My G.P. was not supportive of my decision.
Now on 31/1/14 I had my 3 year post-operative tests and results showed NORMAL – NO CANCER!!! Thank you Jesus! You are true to your Word.

NAUSEA | 29 Nov 2013
I went to the Healing Rooms to ask for prayer about a couple of things but one was the nausea I had been feeling for a couple of months and which was getting worse. I thought it may have been connected to the malaria tablets I had to take to go overseas, but it continued after I was off the tablets.
The team prayed for me and I was asked “how do you feel now?” I thought about it and instead of being nauseous, I just felt hungry. I have not felt nauseous since – what a huge relief! Praise God!!

MARIJUANA DEPENDENCY | 22 Feb 2013
I came here at a very lost broken time. I was struggling emotionally and physically with a marijuana dependency that was destructive and debilitating. I never had strength in myself to overcome this problem, and I came with an open heart ready to give my problems to the Lord instead, and trusted in Him to deliver me through prayer and intercession.
Long story short, the change was instant and undeniable. My desire for escape through my drug of choice was instantly lifted and the burden was gone, instantly.
It was a powerful display of the Holy Spirit working in my life and I have shared this story with friends and family many times.
2 years later I was still drug free and although I had relapsed at one point, in times since I am back for more prayer to regain strength and faith and I am absolutely expectant of another miracle to take place in my life.
Thank you Jesus for your patience and love that you have abundantly graced me with.

STAGE 4 PROSTATE CANCER | 20 Feb 2013
Just wanted to let you know that I brought my father to the healing rooms there in Canberra on the 5th August 2011.
He lives in Canberra, and was in stage 4 prostate cancer and at that stage had been given somewhere between 2 and 10 months to live. He really appreciated being prayed for that day, and we continued to pray for him over August and September that year, both individually and with our church.
In October he began to notice that he was feeling much better. He went back to the doctor who gave him some more blood tests, and called him the ‘miracle man walking’. His PSA levels which were very high and continuing to rise had dropped to nothing, and the doctors declared him in full remission!!
Although he’s still struggling with some other health issues – the cancer is no longer a problem and he’s making the most of every day of life! Praise God!!
So thank you so much for your prayers and faith, and may God continue to move through your ministry there powerfully!
