Financial breakthrough

Prayed with Healing Rooms for a situation needing financial change – from desperate to green pastures!

God answered!!  And now I am inundated with overtime shift work.  Now am believing God for no toil, no striving but THRIVING!!!  PRAYER WORKS!!

Serena's healing

I brought my 12 year old daughter Serena to the Healing Rooms for prayer a few times and also the Church I attend was intentionally in praying for her.   Serena had 2 parts of her hip that needed healing - her broken hip and the dead bone head to be alive again.  Serena's broken hip is now fully healed and the bone head is mostly all alive (70%) again and there was evidence of blood flowing to that which was medically 100% dead and now made alive by the healing power of God!!  At Easter this year, the Thursday before Good Friday,  when I was laying hands on and praying for Serena, I felt God saying that "this Easter just like Jesus was dead and then resurrected, Serena's bone head which was dead will also be resurrected to life again"  On the Friday morning in Church the Pastor  (in obedience to God's leading) felt to call Serena up to the front to get the elders of our church to come up and lay hands on her hip and pray for her hip.  The presence of the Holy Spirit was so strong that I really believe that day was a very significant day.  Alleluia!x1000000000000000000000000 

Thanks to our Lord almighty for this fantastic healing and the best thing is this timing is much earlier than what the Ortho surgeon was expecting. He was even saying just before looking at Serena's X-Ray (taken an hour before we saw him) that normally this treatment would take 12 maybe even 18 months (i think just to prepare Serena for any not so positive news?) Serena's only gone 6 months into this treatment and it seems to me like she's already (by God's miraculous healing power) already 70% there. The other 30% seems still needs lots of prayer and God's continuing miracle healing touch. What the doc was saying is that the dead bone may be 'eaten' away by our body's natural cells when it is dead.  

In summary, Doc's planning for Serena to start walking slowly by November and then weaning her off the wheelchair by putting her on crutches and more physio etc and she should be totally walking by herself without any aid by end of this year. Prayers answered!!!  Overall things are looking SO good and outlook is FANTASTIC!!! (Of course with God why wouldn’t it be good!!)

Part 2 UPDATE ON SERENA – 28/8/08

GREAT NEWS!!! Praise the Lord! Serena's hip is almost totally healed! A big improvement from 2 months ago and NO OP required at this stage. Doc is happy with her progress and didn't say anything about the bone marrow transplant. When I asked him about it he said he’ll wait for another 2 months to see if it's  needed, at this stage he doesn't think it's needed. He wants to see Serena and Xray again on 3 Nov.

AND........he's expecting Serena will be able to walk out off the hospital (with crutches) after the next appt!!!! Alleluia! He still wants her to still be in the wheelchair till end of year to keep her safer at school. Crutches only with strict supervision and safer environment. Still need to keep her from falling over or being knocked over - no extreme weight bearing still.

He still wants Serena to continue going up to Sydney for the infusion for another 7 months to continue to protect the new bones structure and still not much active activity allowed for next few months. We'll be increasing her hydro/pool physio in these next few months to prepare and build up her leg muscle and re-train her legs to walk again after a year of being in wheelchair.

Part 3 UPDATE ON SERENA – 30TH JANUARY 2009

We are so thankful to God for His amazing healing and His perfect timing. Thank you and the Healing Rooms for your faithful fervent prayer cover during Serena's healing journey. We have felt it all the time and God's strength kept us afloat. Her hip is almost completely healed and we give thanks to God for the bit to go but she's medically strong enough to put weight on it. She's limited to just gentle walking at this stage. 

You may recall there was that bit about 30% that didn't have any bone growth and how the surgeon did the operation to try and speed things up with bone marrow transfer but couldn't get to the bone head when he open her hip up.  He only removed the pin and decided not to proceed with the marrow transfer as it was too risky but to just leave it and hope for it to grow naturally. We felt at peace with that decision and I know in my heart that God is going to complete the healing in His time. I said to the surgeon at the hospital that we will continue to pray for a miracle and indeed God's done a miracle and almost 90% has now grown! We will continue to claim a 100% complete healing for Serena.

Serena is now walking and rejoicing and praising God! (yet to leap, but will soon).

Final testimony - Praise God.

We went up to Sydney Children's hospital for Serena’s 2nd year anniversary check-up mid Oct 09. Many tests and x-rays were taken - we were there the whole day. All showing very positive results and both specialists (orthopaedic and endocrine) were very happy with the results. All the levels were good and the bonehead (resurrected bone head) was very solid and ROUND. That was what they were hoping to see and they were very pleased with her healing. The Orthopaedic Specialist said to Serena that after 2 years of her bonehead being round, there should be no medical reason why it won't stay that way. That was the best news we were waiting for! Praise the Lord! The reason why I was so excited was that the Drs were concerned that the bonehead may collapse when she bears weight on it and started to walk and told us at that time of that risk. God is bigger than any risk!!! He's overcome them already!

The Dr. wants Serena to go back for a final MRI to double check the bonehead in January 2010. After that, she'll just go back and see them annually.

It's been a difficult but great journey for us all with God paving the way all along and to have the amazing prayer support from all our friends especially those at the Capital Healing Rooms.

So Serena is now not only walking and praising God but is able to walk AND LEAP and praise God! She's totally medically free to do anything she wants!!

Testimony Archive 2010

I just want to express my gratitude to the lovely ladies who prayed for me several weeks ago.  I was experiencing some extreme and worrisome hair loss at the time, and it had been occurring for several months prior.  During prayer, the team discerned that the problem was linked to a generational curse in my family line.  They were spot on because baldness has effected the women on one side of my family for generations, some to the point of having no hair left at all.  This problem is so devastating to the feminine condition of women in particular, and has caused so much damage to the self-esteem of women in my family.

I felt after prayer something had shifted in the spirit and I went home expecting to see results.  While my hair continued to fall out as usual, there was slightly less hair being lost and a week later I noticed a few new feathery hairs growing.  I continued to claim God’s healing.  In the weeks to follow I went to see a specialist who examined my condition and though my existing hair had become quite sparse in comparison, they found no sign of hereditary hair loss.  I believe the generational curse was broken!  I can expect all of my lost hair to grow back over the next several months.

Praise God that he cares for every hair on our head!  And thanks again for the kind hearts of those who pray at the Healing Rooms.

I had been coming to the Healing Rooms for some time for prayer for a physical disability from a serious illness I had when I was two years old. At the time of the illness I spent eleven months in hospital and, in the wisdom of the 1950s, my parents were only allowed to see me for a couple of hours once a week.  For the two year old it meant rejection, and my mother bore the brunt of the damaged relationship that resulted.  By age twelve I had come to recognise that my mother hadn’t rejected me, but the fear of rejection and the damaged relationship remained. Since my early twenties, God has done much to heal this inner woundedness. There remained, however, a sense of apartness from my mother and a sense of loss for the healthier mother/daughter relationship that had been taken from me, from us.

In May 2006, during a prayer session for physical healing at the Healing Rooms, God gave one of the prayer team a scripture, part of which was: “I will restore the years the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). It spoke to me of my relationship with my mother. I believed God could do this, could somehow fully restore my relationship with my mother, but I wondered what it would ‘look like’ as my mother died when I was nineteen [thirty-five years before the prayer session]. It took a while to be able to put words what happened as a result of the prayer that day. Nearly four years later, I can say it has been neither a fleeting thing nor wishful thinking.

Where before there was a sense of apartness, in my heart my mother and I now stand together. Where the illness and hospitalisation had left me with a deep sense of “me versus the rest”, my mother and I are now on the same side, side by side.  While in my head I know the facts of our fractured relationship, in my heart, spirit and emotions it is as if it never was. What was taken from us has been restored. It feels like we always had a good and wholesome relationship in the years until her death. My mind is in awe of the new reality of our relationship, and there is peace in that part of my heart. This restoration is a marvel to me, and I thank God for the precious thing He has done.

Thank you to all those at the Healing Rooms who prayed for my grand niece Melissa.  She had experienced psychotic episodes which necessitated her withdrawal from her final semester of study.  I saw her on Christmas Day at our family gathering and she was bright and sparkly and back to her normal self.  For her 21st birthday in October I sent her a journal with Jeremiah 29 verse 11 on the cover – a reminder to her that God has plans to prosper her and give her hope for the future.

She will resume her final studies Semester One to graduate in her film making course.

I personally Praise the Lord for her wonderful recovery.

My husband’s heart’s desire was to return to Spain this year to complete the 550 km walk that we began in 2005 on the Camino De Santiago.

He wanted me to accompany him on this walk but I was concerned about my physical ability to do this. I decided to come to the Healing Rooms for prayer.  The physical conditions that I asked for healing included, my knees which had been giving me trouble and my heart for strengthening of it and for the Lord to improve my immunity to infections and keep me well so I wouldn’t be a burden!!!

I also asked for prayer for boldness that I would be able to witness and share my faith with others on the way. This is a walk that many thousands of people do each year to draw close to God! Yes I was able to share my faith and point people to Jesus.

On the flight to London from Hong Kong en route to Spain I became very ill, either from food poisoning or an allergic reaction to something I ate. I remembered the word I received at the Healing Rooms that the Lord would be with me and I was able to trust that He was there healing me so I wasn’t at all anxious.  The reaction passed and I was totally well by the time we landed at Heathrow.

For the remainder of the 10 weeks I was in wonderful health. Not only did I climb the Pyrenees carrying my 7kg pack but I climbed many other hills and descended steep and rocky slopes, in heatwave conditions (at the beginning).  I had a few minor complaints, i.e. heat rash, sore shins, however when I needed a rest after walking 12kms there appeared a taxi to take me the last 8kms of the day to reach the destination.  God certainly knew what I needed.  Thank you God.

Here is some fantastic news about the healing of both of my nephew’s (Will) hips - Praise God and Hallelujah!

Will had Perthes disease in both hips, which is unusual to start with, and he had lost 50% of the bonehead of both femurs. He had been banned from all physical activity for the most part of this year.

Will had scans in late October, to determine whether he would be having total hip replacements in both hips. The scans showed 100% healing of the bones in both hips and amazingly this is called the "healing phase" of the illness. But even the Dr was amazed that this had happened so quickly and so completely. That's because we know why. Praise God for his healing hand. The Dr stated that once the body goes into the "healing phase" of this disease, then it shouldn't affect Will as severely again and he doesn't want to see him for 1 year. He is now allowed to do whatever activity he cares to do!

The Dr congratulated the parents for their diligence in keeping him free from activity, and my brother and sister-in-law are ecstatic with the news, and accept it was part of the process of the illness.

I know this display of God's goodness and awesome healing hand, will not return empty, but will be used for His glory.

My left hip had been painful whenever I did any form of exercise (e.g. walking, jogging, playing tennis) and I’d had this pain for about 8 weeks.  I had been to a physiotherapist and a soft tissue therapist but the pain had continued, despite doing stretching exercises each day.  This prevented me from doing any exercise.

On Monday 25th May, the Lord spoke to me as soon as I woke, saying that I should go to the Healing Rooms for some prayer that night.  So I did, and ever since then I’ve had NO pain and been able to get back to walking, tennis and jogging.  The Lord healed me!  Praise Him!!

I came to the Healing Rooms with pain in my right breast and asked for prayer. (I had been to both my doctor and a naturopath who both suggested I needed an ultrasound). After prayer and much freedom and laughter in the room where I was prayed for, I went away with great confidence that my breast would be healed.

Praise God when I went for the ultrasound there was nothing abnormal there and when I went back to the naturopath her machine showed no abnormality which had shown on the previous results!  She said these words; “Your breast is healed!”

I praise God for His healing gift and His Presence in the Healing Rooms. I am so thankful!

I came along to help at one of the Capital Healing Rooms training sessions (approximately 8-10 months ago), but was having trouble with a prolapse.  I was having difficulty sitting during the sessions so found it more comfortable to lie down in the prayer room during the session times.

There was a word of knowledge to pray for anyone with a prolapse.  (I hadn’t told the person this was my difficulty.)

The Lord healed me during that day!  Praise His Name!

When I came to the Healing Rooms recently and read through all the things I had come for prayer for in the past, I realised that every single prayer has been answered.

·     clear test results for auto immune disease

·     healed from pains in the gut

·     freedom from anxiety and panic attacks

·     healing of sinusitis

·     healing of my hormone levels and reproductive system enabling me to have a healthy baby boy!!

BACK PAIN | 4 Dec 2015

I visited the Capital Healing Rooms in April 2015 seeking healing for my lower back.  I have not had pain in my back other than when I first wake up in the morning and I ask God to get rid of the pain and stiffness.  In 5 minutes it is gone!  I am able to do strenuous work again without fear of damage to my back.   Thank you God!!!

My friend Sue said that she put me on your prayer list.  In May this year I was diagnosed with Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis which can be a life threatening lung condition.  I was put on high doses of Steroids which helped me breathe, but only covered the symptoms to allow my lungs some time to heal.  It still didn’t look promising even up to a couple of months ago.  I have had severe side effects from the steroids and have been told this could last six months (after stopping the steroids – early November) and my Adrenal Glands (damaged from the steroids – causing chronic fatigue) will take at least eighteen months to heal.  I am writing to thank you for your prayers and would appreciate further ongoing prayer…………….

I thought I would give an update of my progress.  My last CT scan was clear and my Breathing Tests much improved!  My Specialist in Hamilton was surprised at the change and progress.  When I went to the Specialist at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne he said my lungs are ‘pristine’!   No signs of Ground Glass Changes or Fibrosis (I didn’t have Fibrosis but it would be the next development of the disease).   I feel this is a miracle!!  I am so thankful for this improvement and thank the Lord for it.  I am still struggling with extreme after effects of the medication and hoping God will heal these problems soon too.   Thank you for your wonderful ministry!

NEURALGIA | 1 Dec 2015

I was suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia which causes terrible pain in the face and jaw which is quite debilitating.   I had gone through one winter of excruciating pain.  Now I was facing yet another winter, which made me cringe!   It was horrible. Cold weather exacerbated the pain tremendously!    I had to wear a hat and scarf that covered my face whenever I left my heated lounge room – even to go to the kitchen or bathroom.   I was visiting Canberra and my friend took me to the Capital Healing Rooms.  I received prayer and was immediately healed….I did not need my hat and scarf inside ever again.  I continue to be healed from Trigeminal Neuralgia.  Sometimes I get a niggle of pain but I say out loud: “I am healed.  The Lord has healed me” I am thankful to the Lord for healing me!  Thank you for your anointed prayer warriors.  May God richly bless you all in your essential ministry.  Praise the Lord!

I am so grateful for the prayers you spoke over me in August 2015 for healing of my eye and the condition ‘abducens nerve palsy’. God has totally and completely healed my vision. Medical information indicated that healing could possibly come at the earliest from 12 weeks from the date of onset. I was healed in 8 weeks and require no surgery. I thank you so much for your prayer and for your devotion to God. I thank God too everyday for His perfect, eternal love for us.  I pray God continues to bless you and show you how He is answering your prayers. God bless you always.

On 15/12/2014 I came for prayer for my eyes.  For at least two years my left eye felt dry due to not producing tears.  My right eye constantly over-produced tears so that they ran down my face and had to be wiped away often.  When lying in bed at night there was a non-stop stream of tears from my right eye.  After prayer I noticed that night that both eyes were a lot better as I tried to sleep.  By the next night they were normal, and still are as at 20/7/2015.

KNEE | 23 Jun 2015

A couple of Saturdays ago I had a nasty fall at home. My right leg got caught in a kitchen stool and I was unbalanced and fell flat on my back. As I went down my left leg twisted badly and there was an almighty CRACK from my knee area. I immediately prayed with my husband and daughter as they laid hands on my knee. By that night my knee had ballooned to 3½ times the size and I couldn’t put any weight on my leg at all and I was in quite a bit of pain.

I continued to pray on the Sunday and spent time in worship. I felt it was a ‘tiny’ bit better on Sunday night but I still couldn’t put my weight on it.

I woke up Monday morning and was able to walk on it!! It was about 90% better – I couldn’t totally bend my knee or do any squats, but I was moving well and putting my weight on it and the swelling had drastically reduced. I decided to give the treadmill a miss that day (let’s face it God has given us a brain!!). I came to the Healing Rooms on Tuesday and had more prayer. That afternoon I went home and went on the treadmill for 20 minutes with no pain.

FRUSTRATION | 23 Jun 2015

I am on the Healing Rooms team. On a recent Monday I was extremely frustrated. All the plans set out for the day had been thwarted. Aggravation had set in and I could not shift the tension generated by the various perceived failures of the day. I was worried about coming to the Healing Rooms that night in the frame of mind I was in as I was rostered on to do Reception.

Shortly after I entered the Healing Rooms I became aware of a tremendous peace and joy and that everything that had been annoying me all day had shifted and I felt gloriously happy. Such is the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit in these rooms. We are truly blessed.

THYROID | 27 Feb 2015

I was at Capital Healing Rooms about 10 days ago and I was so worried about my thyroid cancer recurring. The ladies prayed with me and I felt so much better and uplifted. I am happy to tell you that the recent scan showed no recurrence of the thyroid cancer! Praise God for His faithfulness and mercy! Thank you and the prayer team for the prayers on my behalf. I am so very grateful. I see my GP today to determine the treatment for the infection or inflammation that seems to be the cause of my unwellness. Thanks again and God’s blessings on you and your ministry.

I came in with a really bad knee due to pins and plates. I walked in with a walking stick and I walked out by myself!!!
Thank you Lord for healing me! Now I can go dancing which I thought I would be cancelling.

ALLERGIES | 10 Nov 2014

I had an allergy to cats all my life. I received prayer from the team in July 2012 and I visited a girl (I would eventually marry) who has 2 cats. I had NO allergic reaction and never have since!! We have been married for 6 months. Thank you Jesus for touching my life!

About 1 month or so ago I came to the Healing Rooms for prayer and something happened!

When I came in my BP was 165/97 and had been at that for a while (several weeks).  During the prayer time – something lifted off me – I could physically feel that, so on the way home I went to my local pharmacy and had my BP taken – 136/86!!!!!!!   A week later I went again and it was still 136/86.  Thank you God!

On Friday 8th August I came to the Healing Rooms for prayer.  I was on a walking stick and had severe kidney pain – I was in agony and found walking difficult.  At the very end of the prayer session all the pain lifted off me.  I walked out with my walking stick under my arm!  Praise the Lord!

HEART HEALED | 20 Jun 2014

My brother is a tour bus driver near retirement age and living alone in Melbourne. After a particular tour taking some unwell overseas visitors to the Great Ocean Road, he became infected by a nasty virus which attacked his heart so that his pulse was racing up to 180 beats per minute. He was sweating profusely and had a terrible cough. He phoned my sister, a nurse, who came over and took him straight to hospital. There he was taken to ICU and was treated by the top cardiologists who gave him intravenous antibiotics which helped. However the pulse rate was still higher than normal.  They thought they may have to intervene and shock the heart with medical procedures.

After I heard this I rang the Healing Rooms and was assured that the team would pray immediately! Obviously the prayers of righteous men and women were heard and the requests were met.  Within 3 days my brother was able to go home from hospital with a slower heart rate!  I thank God for the answer my brother received and he said himself that the prayers must have helped! Thank you Heavenly Father. Praise You Lord Jesus!

He needed 2 more weeks of rest and recovery before returning to work but what was also amazing was that his relationship, with me even though we live in different States, was also healed. This was a time for him to know that I cared about him and he saw me differently. He valued the prayer support. He began to speak to me in a new way, and I feel that I have regained a brother who was “lost” to me. I am a thankful receiver of God’s amazing grace and I thank you all for your devotion and love.

PRAYER CLOTH | 30 May 2014

I asked the Healing Rooms team to pray for my husband.  They anointed a prayer cloth with oil and I brought it home and he put it in his bed.  After many many nights unable to sleep because of severe pain in his back, legs, shoulders and body, generally he slept all night without getting up at all and with NO pain killers!!  This morning he has only much reduced pain and we look forward to complete healing.  Praise the Lord!!
